The first round of our Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl was on Jan. 24 at the Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy. The teams were from Haymon-Morris Middle School, Russell Middle School, Westside Middle School, the Arts and Innovation Magnet School, Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy, and Winder-Barrow High School. From that event, the rankings were:
