Be a part of writing the next chapters for the Barrow County School System.
We are now crafting our next Strategic Plan that will help guide us during the 2026-2031 school years. Strategic planning is a thoughtful process that aligns our school system’s values, mission, and goals with a set of clear strategies and opportunities to achieve student success.
“It is important that we hear from as many people as we can so that different perspectives are considered and represented,” said BCSS Superintendent Dr. Dallas LeDuff. “This school system belongs to you – our community. It will be here long after us, and it’s our responsibility to take care of it together for our students.”
The first opportunity for you to share your thoughts on the next Strategic Plan for BCSS is coming up in October. Please join us!

FAQ
Why is it important to attend the Oct. 27 Community Meeting and/or complete the online survey?
Our school system is here to serve children and our community. Your voice matters and needs to be heard and considered while plans are made concerning the future of student learning.
What should I expect when I attend the Oct. 27 Community Meeting?
You will be split into groups with a facilitator from the community who will lead the discussion to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges for the Barrow County School System that the new Strategic Plan will be designed to address. We need all voices in the Barrow County community to help us craft an effective plan that truly captures the community's vision for our school system.
