Congratulations to Andy Dean on his promotion to Assistant Principal at Apalachee High School. The Board of Education approved his new position during their April Work Session.
Mr. Dean has 24 years of experience in education. The first 20 years he spent in the classroom as a language arts teacher working in high schools in Madison County, Gwinnett County, Clarke County, and then Winder-Barrow High School. Most recently, he's helped students stay on the path to a diploma as a Graduation Specialist at Apalachee High School.
"For the past four years, I’ve worked as the Graduation Specialist for the Apalachee Cluster. This role has allowed me to become deeply involved in a wonderful community, and I’ve truly enjoyed supporting students on their journey to graduation. I’m excited to continue collaborating with the students, families, and staff of Apalachee High School. While helping students reach graduation has been incredibly fulfilling, I’ve missed being part of daily classroom instruction. At my core, I am a teacher, and I’m eager to partner with our faculty and staff to create meaningful and enriching learning experiences. I look forward to helping foster opportunities for our students to grow—both academically and as individuals."
