Congratulations to Nicole Valles on her promotion to Director of Communications and Engagement. The Board of Education approved the new role at their September meeting.
Nicole has worked for Barrow County School System since 2019 when she was hired to manage digital communications including websites and social media. Before coming to BCSS, Nicole worked as a Digital Marketing Strategist and Web Content Editor for both Piedmont Healthcare and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Prior to that, she was a TV news producer for WSAV-TV in Savannah.

Nicole and her husband, Andrew, have two children. Their daughter, Nia, is a proud graduate of Apalachee High School and their son, Nate, is a member of the AHS Class of 2024.
