Support Services
The Support Services Team provides support for the daily activities and operations of the school system. We strive to deliver our services in an effective, safe, reliable and efficient manner. The purpose of our work is to create and maintain an accessible, productive, positive, and well-supported atmosphere for teaching and learning.
Support Services is strategically organized to best support the mission of the Barrow County School System.
School Safety supports staff in creating a safe environment for learning in all schools. This includes coordination of School Resource Officers, safety training and drills, and safety plans.
Student Health supports the medical needs of the student to assist in their learning progress and academic success.
Student Services aims to provide focus and direction to school staff regarding emotional safety and wellness, collaboration with our community and families, and improvement of overall school climate.
Transportation provides transportation of students to and from school, field trips, sporting events, and other extracurricular activities. Ensuring student safety is the primary goal, followed closely by efficient, on-time arrivals.
