Student Counseling Area and Faculty Recharge Room

Recharge and Recovery Room

Apalachee High School now has two rooms dedicated to being calming and collaborative spaces for students and staff. The rooms were made possible thanks to the generosity of Georgia United Credit Union Foundation and Georgia United Credit Union's School Crashers program. The program offers accredited K-12 schools across the state an opportunity to apply for grants to improve the learning environment for the students, faculty, and staff. The rooms were transformed into the new spaces during the summer.

“Thanks to all the local volunteers who assisted us in priming and painting the space to prepare for the delivery and installation of selected Ernie Morris furniture and Mohawk area rugs. We are also grateful to the Barrow County Schools Foundation who will be donating privacy enclosures for the counseling area.” shared Debbie Smith, CEO of Georgia United.
