We’re excited to welcome two new school-based student therapists to Apalachee High School: Drew Thomas, LAPC, and Melody Bloomfield, MSW. Both therapists will be working collaboratively to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to our students as our community continues to heal and grow.
Melody Bloomfield brings three years of experience in community-based mental health services, having worked closely with teens and families in San Francisco. She earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from the University of Georgia.
“My goal is to provide a safe space for students to process what’s on their minds and to help them discover coping skills they can carry with them for life. I’m always honored to be part of a student’s journey toward healing.”
— Mrs. Bloomfield
Drew Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Augusta University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of Georgia.
“My goal is to create a safe, sensitive, and meaningful space where students can work toward their goals in therapy. Their future truly matters to me.”
— Mr. Thomas
We’re grateful to have these dedicated professionals on board and look forward to the positive impact they’ll make at Apalachee High School.
