Joshua Coleman

Assistant Principal - WBHS

My name is Joshua Coleman and I am very excited to get to work and help both students and staff at Winder-Barrow High School meet their goals. My goal is to be a useful, reliable and trusted team member for as many teachers as possible and also to support our community of students in whatever capacity that is needed.

I have been in education for 16 years. I started my career teaching psycho-education with North Metro teaching students categorized as SEBD at Alpharetta High School in Fulton County. In Clarke County, I worked at Burney Harris Lyons Middle School teaching Special Education. At Morgan County High School, I taught Special Education for two years and Biology for two years. In Bulloch County, I worked at Statesboro High School where I taught Physical Science, Biology and Psychology. I also taught English in Yamanashi, Japan for 4 years, from 2009-2013.

I have been blessed with a wonderful family. In 2016, I married my wife of seven years, Kaylee, and we have two children, Ava Lee (5) and JD (4). Kaylee is also in education. She is the media specialist for Morgan County High School, so we are an education/coaching family. I was an assistant football coach for a total of nine years, five at Statesboro High and four at Morgan County High, and I was a head track coach for four years at Statesboro High.
