Registration & Proect submission Process

Registration Process

Registration lets the STC organizers know which students intend to complete a project in each specific category to assist them in the planning process for the competition. It is the required first step for any student that wants to complete a project and compete in the competition. Students register BEFORE they have completed their project.

Register Now

Students must register by the registration deadline on September 7th in order to be eligible to submit their project application for consideration to compete in the Barrow Student Technology Competition.

In order to register, the student (or pair of students, if working as a team) only needs to submit the following information to declare their intent to participate and complete a project:

  • Student Name(s)
  • Grade Level
  • School
  • Project Category

Students need to carefully review the category descriptions and match them to the project that they intend to complete before registering.

Project Submission Process

Students may submit their projects between October 25th and November 9th.

Students that have registered and successfully completed their project will be able to submit their project through a video submission process to the Barrow Student Technology Competition during the project submission window between October 25th and November 9th. The submission process will include a written abstract summarizing the project, a project presentation video, and up to five optional additional files to assist the judges in understanding the work and process involved in the project. Further details can be found on the SUBMIT page of this website.

Submitted project videos will be reviewed and scored by a panel of judges who will then select the top projects from each category and division to be honored as winners of the Barrow Student Technology Competition. The top projects in each category and division will then be nominated to advance to the state level competition to be held in February 2022.
