Senate Bill 150 - Return to Work Act

Calling All Retired Educators – We Want You!
Senate Bill 150 is a Georgia law that allows retired educators to return to full-time classroom teaching while continuing to receive their retirement benefits. The bill was signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have 30 years of creditable service experience
- Primary responsibility must be academic instruction of students in Pre-K through Grade 12
- Must serve as the teacher of record in one of the following content areas:
- Math
- Special Education
- Science
- CTAE
- Reading – (must hold a current dyslexia or reading endorsement)
- Writing – (must hold a current dyslexia or reading endorsement)
- English Language Arts (ELA) – (must hold a current dyslexia or reading endorsement)
