The Barrow County School System is pleased to welcome Ms. Amy Nix as the new Assistant Principal of Kennedy Elementary School, beginning with the 2026–2027 school year. 

Ms. Nix brings 16 years of experience in education across multiple grade levels and areas, including six years teaching at Kennedy Elementary School. Over the course of her career, she has taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades, as well as Early Intervention Program (EIP) students. 

“I am honored and excited to return to Kennedy Elementary as assistant principal and to continue serving a school community and staff that mean so much to me. I believe that strong relationships provide the foundation for equipping students to become lifelong learners and reach their fullest potential. I look forward to partnering with students, staff, and families to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous growth, where everyone feels valued, challenged, and successful.”
