Congratulations to Courtney Sosebee on being named Lighthouse Program Leader of the Year! 

The Lighthouse is a network of 13 school districts that are part of the Georgia Network for Educational and Therapeutic Services (GNETS). These districts collaborate to operate eight local school sites that serve students in their communities. 

“Serving as GNETS Lighthouse Coordinator has been the most rewarding experience. It has been an honor to work alongside educators who lead with compassion, resilience, and purpose every day. This recognition reflects the collective effort and dedication of our team, who inspire our students and create a thriving classroom environment both academically and emotionally,” said Courtney Sosebee. 

The Lighthouse provides specialized educational and therapeutic services for students with severe emotional and behavioral challenges. 

“She has made a tremendous impact on the Barrow/Jefferson City/Oconee/Social Circle Lighthouse program and has also been an integral member of our broader Lighthouse team,” said Jan NeSmith, Director of The Lighthouse, GNETS Northeast Georgia RESA.
