School Social Worker
Jennifer Newkirk came to BCSS starting the 22-23 school year. She most recently served for the previous five years with Greene County Schools, as well as serving with Dawson County Schools for eight years from 2003-2011. During her tenure with the schools, Jennifer has also been regularly involved with the School Social Workers Association of Georgia and has served on the Executive Boards of both Dawson and Greene County Family Connection Collaboratives.
Jennifer also has extensive background in medical social work, having also worked in outpatient dialysis for six years as well as hospital case management.

Jennifer is a proud resident of Barrow County with her husband, son, and pets and enjoys participating in community theatre.
Jennifer serves Bethlehem Elementary, Statham Elementary, Bear Creek Middle and the Horizon Program.
