Jennie Persinger new Director of Data, Assessment and Accountability

Congratulations to Jennie Persinger for her promotion to Director of Data, Assessment and Accountability. The Board of Education approved the transition in March 2021. She started in the role in July 2021.

Persinger began her career with the Barrow County School System in 1997 as a middle school teacher. She also worked as a media specialist, an instructional technology specialist, and testing and data coordinator before transitioning to her new role.

As Director of Data, Assessment and Accountability, she manages several areas of the Support Services department including:

  • FTE
  • Student Record Data Collection, and CCRPI Data
  • OCR and Federal Reporting
  • Fitness Gram
  • Barrow Pulse
  • Data Analysis
  • Coordinates work of Media Specialists
  • School Social Work Program
  • Testing and Data Program

Persinger earned her BEd, MEd, and EdS at the University of Georgia and her Educational Leadership certification through the University of North Georgia. She lives with her husband in Winder.
