We’re happy to announce Laurie Gray will be the new Assistant Principal of Auburn Elementary School. The Board of Education approved the move at their Feb. 28 Work Session.

Laurie Gray has been the Intervention Support and Gifted Coordinator for five years. In that role, she has worked to support all buildings in their Response to Intervention (RTI) programs as well as their Gifted and Talented programs. Prior to that, she served in a variety of roles in the education field. She has served as a principal and an assistant principal in neighboring counties. She began her education career at Statham Elementary where she also served as a paraprofessional, classroom teacher, Early Intervention Teacher and Instructional Coach.

Ms. Gray’s educational background includes gaining her specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College.

Ms. Gray says she can’t wait to join the AES Tigers. “I am so excited to be a member of the Tiger family. I look forward to working together to support the growth of our students in all areas. I cannot wait to be a part of all the great things that make AES such a special place.“
