Student Code of Conduct Reminder

message from principals about the code of conduct

BCSS Families,

As we near the middle of the first half of the 2025-26 school year, we ask you to please review the Student Code of Conduct once again with your child.

We need your help to stress the seriousness of certain behaviors and words and the consequences those actions can have, even if a student says it was meant as just a “joke.” This applies to any student in any grade, whether elementary, middle, or high school.

Review the Student Handbook & Code of Conduct

When a threatening or concerning remark or behavior is reported, we take the following steps:

  • School Administrators and School Resource Officers immediately begin an investigation and separate the student in question from others.
  • The guardians are notified.
  • A behavioral threat assessment may be conducted.

Depending on the outcome of the investigation, appropriate actions will be taken to ensure everyone's well-being. Those actions may include suspension, expulsion, referral to support programs, and/or arrest.

We sincerely thank you for your partnership, attention, and support in the care of children. Together, we can ensure a safe and productive environment that helps students thrive.

In partnership,
BCSS Principals
