BCSS Transportation Helps Adventure Bags

Networking at its finest! Thanks to an event for Leadership Barrow, Executive Director of Adventure Bags Misty Manus and Barrow County School System Director of Transportation Jason Ayers were able to solve some logistical challenges.

Adventure Bags provides backpacks filled with overnight essentials and comfort items for displaced children. Adventure Bags, Inc. is a state-wide organization and often needs assistance in getting their bags to their partnering agencies across the state.

BCSS Transportation sends buses every weekend to Fort Valley, Georgia to have air conditioning retrofits. This provides an opportunity to meet with agencies at a halfway point to get the bags where they need to go.
