class of 2025 grads

Congratulations to the Barrow County School System Class of 2025 for achieving the highest graduation rate in BCSS history since 2000, when the Georgia Department of Education began measuring rates statewide.

Together, the 1,076 graduates from Apalachee High School, Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy, and Winder-Barrow High School made up a 92.68% record grad rate. This 4-year cohort graduation rate is based on the number of students who graduate within four years of entering ninth grade.

"We are incredibly proud of the dedication of our students, teachers, staff, and school leaders, and we are grateful for the strong partnership of our families," said BCSS Superintendent Dr. Dallas LeDuff. "By supporting and challenging one another to grow, we are making a difference in the lives of our children and shaping a brighter future for our community."

Apalachee High School Principal Jessica Rehberg shared, "The increased AHS Graduation Rate is a testament to the hard work of an entire team over several years. The resilience and dedication of the Class of 2025 are unmatched, and the faculty and staff took great care to support their unique needs. The accomplishment of reaching Apalachee's highest Graduation Rate empowers us as we move more students forward in finding success and achieving their goals."

Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy Principal Thomas Thrailkill added, "We are full of Blazer pride to celebrate a wonderful graduation rate of 97%. This achievement is a reflection of the combined strength of our school community and represents the hard work and perseverance of our students, the dedication and passion demonstrated by our staff, and the unwavering support of our families. Together, this partnership continues to empower our students to reach their goals and prepare for their bright futures."

Winder-Barrow High School Principal Rebbie Lichliter noted, "I am thrilled to celebrate our 90.67% graduation rate, a two-point increase from last year! This achievement reflects the incredible hard work of our students and the dedication of our teachers, graduation specialist, counselors, and staff. It also shows the powerful support of our families and community who walk alongside us every step of the way. This success is the very definition of the GG effort—going above and beyond, giving that extra effort. It is more than a number. It represents dreams realized and futures made brighter. I am excited for our graduates and thrilled to celebrate this milestone with the WBHS community."
