Kelcie Zimmer

Recovery Coordinator

My sole purpose is to help our community feel like healing is possible and that they are not alone. I will be an advocate for them and help connect them with resources they might need. I am also here to help create spaces where people have a place to go for support or reflection. A big component of my position will include commemorations, memorial work, ongoing communication, and being a point of contact for anyone who needs something related to recovery.

I started my career at the Division of Family & Children Services working in the area of foster care. I enjoyed many years working in child welfare including my time on the public and private side of the field. It is an honor to have been in several positions where I have been able to meet people where they are and walk alongside them as they navigate out of hard places. It is a privilege to be at AHS serving the community as positive steps are taken towards healing. I am currently working to obtain clinical licensure in social work.
