Rachel Guana

Rachel Gauna joins Austin Road Elementary as a Music teacher.

"I love teaching my students lessons that make learning fun, while building their confidence as musicians. Teaching music allows me to connect with students and families throughout the school and community and build lasting relationships. I can't wait to have fun teaching The Rockets!"

"I live in Athens with my husband, Redd, and my two children, Mollie and Jacob, who are 13 and 11. Mollie is a fellow flutist who enjoys soccer, and Jacob is an avid artist. We have a spoiled little dog, Chloe, and two cats, Ozzy and Kit."

Interests: "I have been playing the flute since the fifth grade, and I love opportunities to play the piccolo in UGA's Redcoat Alumni Band! I have a passion for photography, music, art, and history, as well as a good meal in one of Athens's best restaurants. If there is an animal involved in an activity, I will love that too!”
