We appreciate your patience as we have had to adjust our plans to meet the safety expectations of our current reality. Unfortunately, we will not be able to host an in-person orientation. Instead, we will offer a Virtual Orientation on Thursday, August 13th for all BASA students.
Much like our original plans for an in-person orientation, students will follow their class schedule to meet their teachers. Students and families should plan to attend for the entirety of the event when possible. We will begin with a Welcome and Launch at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Crew meeting at 8:30 a.m. Students will then follow their class schedule to meet all of their teachers virtually. Please note, there will be an extended program for 8th grade families to meet their connections teachers starting at 11:50 a.m.
Our Welcome and Launch activities will be linked to on this web page on the morning of orientation. Crew and class meetings will be held within Google Classrooms and Google Meets. Students will receive Google Classroom invitations from their teachers and crew leaders over the next several days. Crew leaders will also reach out to students by phone on August 7th and 10th.
