Deadlines to Switch Between Distance and In-Person Learning

Distance Learning - Deadlines to Switch - In-Person Learning

As shared in our July 6th Action plan, students may switch between learning options (distance or in-person) at particular points in the instructional year. Exceptions can be made if determined by an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) committee, a Section 504 committee, or at the principal’s discretion.

If you are considering a change, please be sure to read the expectations for Distance Learning and about the precautions in place for in-person learning. If you want your child to remain in his/her current enrollment, no action is needed.

Update 11/9/2020

If any student wants to switch from in-person to distance learning or from distance learning to in-person, they must submit an enrollment change request to their school between November 9 and November 20. All enrollment changes must be submitted no later than Friday, November 20, 2020.

This will be the final opportunity during the 2020-2021 school year for any BCSS student to change their enrollment option. This now applies to elementary, middle, and high school students.
