Assistant Principal & Activities Director - BASA

I believe all students can thrive and reach their full potential when given opportunities, structure, support, and resources compatible with their needs. BASA is an amazing school that provides all of this and more for its students. I am so excited to be a Blazer!

I began my career in education in 1997 as a Biology and Physical Science Teacher at Loganville High School. From 2006-2013, I taught Earth Systems at Oconee County Middle School and served as Honors Night and Science Fair Coordinator. From 2013-2022, I taught Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, AP Seminar, and AP Research, coached JV Volleyball, and served as Student Council Sponsor at North Oconee High School. During that time (2018-2022), I also taught Science at Foothills Charter High School. I served as Assistant Site Director there from 2022-2023.

I grew up in Clayton County. I moved to Oconee County in 1990 to attend UGA and never left. My hobbies include painting, horseback riding, skiing (snow & water), the outdoors, animals, and travel (most fond of the BEACH). I've been married to my husband, David, for 30 years. We have three children - Jake (27), Hannah (24), and Meg (20).
