Our CFIT Innovation Gardens have now been given “Connect to Protect” status through the state Botanical Garden and UGA. The program focuses on developing displays that combine native plants and educational materials in order to promote awareness of the crucial role that beneficial insects have on our ecosystem and community. The teachers have received signage for the gardens, native pollinator plants to add to our current beds, as well as additional financial support to sustain the work going on in the CFIT Innovation Gardens.
