Barrow Robotics Program Victories!

Barrow Robotics State Championship 2024

There is a lot for The Barrow Robotics Program to celebrate between all the different teams' successes.

It was an early morning for BCSS' three middle school Robotics teams (CloverBots) as they traveled to the Georgia FIRST LEGO League (FLL) State Championship on February 10.

To send them off in style, the Barrow Sheriff's Office escorted the team to the championship. The team was filled with excitement when they arrived at the University of Georgia campus.

During the Jackson League Season, The RoboClovers Varsity team had a final ranking of 2 of 9. They qualified for the Northeast Georgia League Tournament where they earned First Place Inspire Award and Finalist Alliance Captain. The team's qualification ranking was 4 of 15.

The RoboClovers JV team also worked hard this season. They returned three FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Veterans and brought in three FLL recruits along with two new members. They were awarded the Motivate Award at the Northeast Georgia League Tournament.

On February 17, The Varsity RoboClovers participated in the FTC Championship where the varsity team placed in the top ten at the State Championship. There were over thirty other teams at the competition that was held at Riverside Preparatory Academy in Gainesville.

The Barrow Robotics Program allows students to experience hands-on computer science and engineering. The Varsity RoboClovers and the Junior Varsity RoboClovers consist of Barrow County School System's high school robotics students.
