Jennifer Bailey believes that students who develop a love of learning will become lifelong learners. They will truly understand that you can learn something new every day. She believes that helping students have confidence in themselves is a vital part of her job. She believes that mistakes are an imperative part of learning: it is true that we learn from our mistakes. She also believes that students need to be given assignments that challenge them.

Jennifer began working at Barrow County Schools in 2000. She started her career in the field of social services, but felt she could make a bigger impact teaching children, so she went back to school and obtained a master’s degree in education.

Jennifer enjoys teaching all subjects, but has a passion for math. She believes that students need a solid mathematical foundation to be successful. She believes that teaching students to have a love of math instead of a fear of math is a crucial part of her job.

Jennifer is a certified k-5 teacher. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and her master’s degree from Piedmont College. She has a gifted endorsement as well. She believes that it is important that students know how to learn. She believes her job is to prepare future generations for the ever evolving world in which we live.
