On February 7, 2023, the School Governance Team named Ms. Makenzy Holdren the 23-24 Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Holdren is currently a third grade teacher at HES. Ms. Holdren has worked for Holsenbeck for eight years. She has been an educator for 18 years. She has two fur children, Stella and Winnie. In her free time, she likes to craft and makes special keepsakes for families. She also has a podcast where she speaks with her friends, mostly educators, on their personal journeys in life.
