Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy (BASA) offers students a learning community where everyone feels valued, empowered, and supported. Learners have many opportunities to explore their passions and interests. We take pride in providing relevant learning experiences designed to maximize engagement, achievement, and student voice.
For the 2024-2025 school year, BASA will be accepting enrollment requests for rising 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students who were enrolled in Barrow County Schools for one or more semesters during the 2023-2024 school year.
BASA graduates should display the following characteristics:

To ensure that BASA students can showcase these characteristics, and are college and career ready, BASA faculty and staff will offer frequent opportunities for collaboration, research, and presentation. Students will have opportunities to serve their community, identify problems, and become part of a solution narrative. WHO CAN APPLY?
For the 2024-2025 school year, BASA will be accepting enrollment applications for rising 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students who are enrolled with BCSS for one or more semesters during the 2023-24 school year.
Parents of 8th grade students currently enrolled in the Arts & Innovation Magnet (AIM) Program will confirm plans for 9th grade enrollment in a separate communication and should not complete this interest form.
WHEN CAN I APPLY?
The enrollment application window will be open from 8:00 AM on Wednesday, Nov. 8 to 11:59 PM on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY?
We plan to notify families concerning acceptance on Jan. 19. There will be a parent and student meeting on Jan. 24.
