The Board of Education approved Dr. Al Darby to serve as interim Principal for Statham Elementary School during their Sept. 2 meeting. Please keep Principal Sue McHann in your continued prayers as she recovers from health-related concerns.

We are thankful for Assistant Principal Claire Smith's leadership during this time and the support from Dr. Al Darby. Dr. Darby has been with the Barrow County School System since 2004 and has served as an assistant principal and principal. He is currently the Chief Administrative Officer for Athletics and Student Activities for BCSS.
