COMPUTER NETWORKING

Sims Academy students are able to build a strong foundation for their careers in information technology through our dual enrollment partnership with Lanier Technical College. In this program, highly qualified instructors from Lanier Technical College teach students in the Career and Technical Education programs available to students through Sims Academy. 

The PC Repair and Network Technician certificate of credit prepares students with the skills needed to perform personal computer troubleshooting and repair. Students learn to install, maintain and repair PC hardware, software, and peripherals; troubleshoot problems with PCs and networks; maintain and upgrade networks; train others on how to manage new operating systems; assist in implementing custom configurations.

certification Information

This program prepares graduates to receive the PC Repair and Networking Technician Certificate from Lanier Technical College, which qualifies them to as network technicians. These courses will also provide students with a jumpstart to their future diploma or degree-level studies.
