Our Media Center will soon have new books for Bullpups thanks to a $3,000 grant from TangerKids for diversity books. Media Center Specialist Tammy Privette says the funds will be used to purchase both fiction and nonfiction books to address a variety of diverse populations. Some of these will include religion, ethnicity, culture, family structure, disabilities, and economic disparities. She says, "We are very excited by this opportunity to provide many new books for our students."
