Helping through Purposity

If you knew a child in our community needed shoes or a family was trying to recover after a house fire, would you want to help? We're happy to announce we're partnering with a program called Purposity - an app founded on the principle that people find purpose in generosity.

Here's how it works.

1. Download the app.
2. Go to the "organizations" section and search for Barrow County Schools.
3. Follow us!
4. When our social workers post specific community needs, you will get a notification.
5. If you can help, let us know through the app.

It's that easy!

Barrow County School System Social Worker Jennifer Benford says, "Barrow County is a community dedicated to meeting the needs of our neighbors. We are excited about joining the Purposity App to help our neighbors help each other. With one simple app on your phone or laptop, you can read about specific needs, and decide how you'd like to help! Maybe you could help a student who needs shoes, or another student who needs a bookbag. All, right here in your community! Doing good feels good!"
